A Guide to Account Verification and Funding

 

What is Account Verification?

To receive your campaign proceeds on Linno Fund, you’ll need to confirm your identity through a verification process managed by our trusted payment partner, Stripe. This step is essential to ensure secure and compliant fund transfers.

 

 

When Should I Complete the Verification?

You’ll be required to complete the Funds Recipient Verification immediately after setting up your campaign. This is a mandatory step before launching your campaign live on the platform.

 

 

Where Can I Start the Verification?

Head over to your Campaign Editor, then click on the Funding tab. You’ll see a button labeled Verify Your Account—click it to begin.

Once your information is submitted, Stripe will review it. During this time, your verification status will show as Verification Pending.

 

 

Running a Campaign on Behalf of a Company?

If your campaign is under a business or organization, make sure to submit the details of the company’s Legal Representative or Director. If an agency is managing the campaign, the actual business owner's information must be used, not the agency staff.

 

 

How to Complete the Verification

  • Go to the Funding tab in your Campaign Editor.
  • Scroll to Funds Recipient Verification.
  • Select Verify Account.

Submit the required details based on your business type (Company or Individual).

Ex: If you chose to launch your campaign as a business, you will need to provide the legal entity name,  ID number, and Tax ID.  All documents must be in color, clearly visible, and free of obstructions.

 

 

Required Documents

You’ll typically need to upload a valid, government-issued photo ID in JPG, PNG, or PDF format. If necessary, Stripe might also ask for documents that confirm your address.

 

 

How Do I Know If I’m Verified?

Once approved, your campaign dashboard will show a Verified status under Funds Recipient Verification. This may take a few minutes—refresh your page if you don’t see the update right away.

If the verification fails, your status will revert back to Not Verified, and you may need to re-submit or provide additional info.

Please Note: Your campaign cannot go live on Linno Fund without successful account verification. Make sure you complete this essential step to start your fundraising journey effectively!
